6/29 Bon Voyage FGT's

What to do if you're leaving and you have a tomato plant on the verge of ripening off the hook. Fried Green Tomatoes. What a pretty color, yes? The green is not touched up. We ate them as a quick snack before bungling off to the airport.
Dip thick slices of green tomatoes in milk, then flour, then egg, then cornmeal.
Fry 5-6 min on each side in some oil. Let cool a bit (which we didn't do as we were in a hurry--so we drove to the airport tipping heads side to side to keeping hot things from tongues and cheeks.

I am writing this in Greece. Consider these posts for the days they took place since this is the first chance I have had the energy, time, quietude, and internet access necessary to do such a thing as post.

Those tomatoes look wonderful! Your one plant produced more than my 3 are producing.
